Corporate Training Services

You have to train your employees so they can leave, or else they’ll leave.

Although companies often do a commendable job in training their current and future Supervisors and Managers on the technical aspects of their job, it is often the people-management side of the equation that gets shortchanged. It’s therefore not surprising that Supervisors were less likely to be Fully Engaged than the front-line employees that reported directly to them, according to Employee Hold’em’s most recent national benchmark study (36% vs. 38%). And to compound the problem, fewer than half of Middle Managers were Fully Engaged, the lowest levels in over a dozen years.

Supervisors and Middle Managers are directly or indirectly responsible for seven in ten employees, the workers that are counted on to meet and exceed customer needs and expectations. When Supervisors are unengaged in their work, they will be significantly less likely to take ownership for the progress and productivity of their direct reports, perhaps their most important responsibilities.

Training Supervisors in the people-management skills they require serves two critical purposes; training supplies knowledge and skills to supervisors that will improve their relationship with their direct reports and provides for one of the key drivers of workforce engagement for Supervisors and Middle Managers… training and development for both the short and long term.

Employee Hold’em corporate training services help fill these training needs with a collection of coaching and training services:

  • STARS (Supervisor Training for Associate Retention and Success): A six-session extended training and development curriculum is built around the principles explained in Employee Engagement Fundamentals. centered on how supervisors and managers impact The Four R’s of Workforce Engagement – the ability to Recruit, Retrain, Reward & Retain™ top talent. • Engagement Coaching: It’s easier to recognize performance problems in others than being able to notice those drawbacks in ourselves. Today’s best companies realize the importance of continued improvement and support the concept of a learning organization. But only recently have individuals and organizations fully recognized that their long-term success is directly linked to the quality and strength of their supervisors and managers. Employee Hold’em offers individual and group coaching and development for current supervisors, managers, and executives and those on their way up.
